WOW! Why would a city agree to hire someone with a background as his? Weren't there any other candidates? Were they desperate?

PSA 5:9 Not a word from their mouth can be trusted; their heart is filled with destruction. Their throat is an open grave; with their tongue they
speak deceit.

Are you really this desperate? Do you spend your time at night thinking of ways to bolster your cause of smearing anyone who simply disagrees with you? Tis article was from 4 years ago!

You are pathetic!

Take a hint and find a different hobby to waste your time with. The people of Centerville spoke on election day and you (and your candidates) were routed...not a single one got enough votes!

Ha!

Happily Yours,
The Silent (but very effective) Majority

John,
There are no smears on this post... Just the facts. This story being four years old does has nothing to do with the fact that four years ago our City Administrator was fired from his job in Cannon Falls, on a no confidence vote.
I would hardly call 38% (Capra) or 21% (Paar) a "SILENT MAJORITY." The only reason that Capra and Paar were reelected was that the vote was split in so many different directions.
Take a hint, yourself...

Neale Rawlings was behind by only 20 votes! With seven people running for two seats, you hardly have bragging rights, John.
We will see what 2010 brings to Centerville.

Oh... so if you had fewer votes than Capra or Fehrenbacker, then you somehow call that a victory? Seems to me that it does not matter how close it was... all that matters is who had enough votes to win.

Talk about a glass half full...

John

38% and 21% is hardly a "silent majority." Looks like a minority to me...

I would have rather not seen them reelected, especially when our tax rate is increasing 6.6%, the highest allowable by law!

Just wait until December when you get your special assessment bill! There is a reason they waited until AFTER the election for this!

They are a bunch of morons and the State Audit will call them out!!!

Glad you are happy with your vote, John. Glad we are having the State audit our books, too...

Has anyone looked at the "reasons" the Cannon Falls Council gave for firing Dallas Larson? Why on earth would our council hire someone with that track record?

ps John..............get off your high horse.............if the vote wasn't split by so many people running there would have been a very different outcome.

CAPRA AND PAAR HAVE NOTHING TO BE PROUD OF. THE PEOPLE SPOKE LOUD AND CLEAR.IT'S JUST A SHAME THAT THE PEOPLE THAT STILL HAVE THEIR HEADS IN THE SAND VOTED THEM IN AGAIN. IDIOTS................

SHOULDN'T 20 VOTES BE AN AUTOMATIC RECOUNT?

Anonymous said...

The reasons were listed in the newspaper article dated 11/10/2004
Council votes 5-0 to dismiss Larson
The last link.

"SHOULDN'T 20 VOTES BE AN AUTOMATIC RECOUNT?"

Les than 1/2 of 1 percent would be an automatic recount.
The difference needed to be 17 or less.
Just missed it by three votes!

Neale will get em in 2010!

"Tis article was from 4 years ago!"

Yes, and it is still relevant to the City of Centerville.
It is also relevant to the decision making/thought process of Capra, Paar and Lee.

"...no smears on this post..." Wait a minute that's all I've seen! If this website is made to be open to all, then why have some people NOT had their comments published? Seems this site is pretty one sided to me. And why bring up Dallas AGAIN...seems to me this has already been discussed.

AMEN

Stating the facts is hardly "smearing" someone.
The information is posted as it is received. Too bad that the City Administrator was FIRED from his last job. Too bad he is now working for us, commuting 50 miles a day and does not live in our community.

Is that a smear?

The arrogance of this group just amazes me. Why do you think that if there had been fewer candidates, your endorsed candidates would have come out victorious? Has it ever crossed your minds that perhaps the incumbents would have won by an even larger margin?

Anonymous said...

NOPE!

Anonymous said...

Hey Tom Lee,
You sound worried about reelection.
How's that for arrogance?

Anonymous said...

Sorry Margaret not Tom Lee. But keep guessing.

Here is an idea for this little group. Endorse the candidates you don't want to win.....then maybe your candidates will have a chance.

Anonymous said...

BECAUSE THERE THEY ARE HIDING SOMETHING!

Anonymous said...

"...no smears on this post..." Wait a minute that's all I've seen!

All you have seen here is evidence cited and backed up by public documents!

If you want a City Administrator that was FIRED from his last job, you are welcome to him!

Maybe you are a City plant... I think so...

THE FACT IS THAT YOUR TAXES ARE GOING UP AGAIN! YOU WON'T KNOW HOW MUCH UNTIL DECEMBER/JANUARY... SOMETIME.
SO MUCH FOR TRUTH IN TAXATION...
WHAT A COINCIDENCE THAT THIS INFORMATION IS NOT AVAILABLE UNTIL AFTER REELECTION!?

I THINK WE LOST SITE OF WHAT THE POST WAS..........LET'S GET BACK ON TRACK

This is one of the reasons Canon Falls got rid of Larson........

he “improperly used City letterhead, implying the consent and approval of the City to conduct non-City business on behalf of a private corporation.”

THAT IS SCARY.............

Disgusting!
