City Council/Finance Director History Circa 2005

Click the above images to enlarge and read the approved City minutes.

Mary Capra, Tom Lee, Jeff Paar and Linda Broussard-Vickers all questioned his job performance (section two) in January 2005. A full six months before he accepted a position with Lightowler, Johnson and Associates. Today they claim there has never been a problem?

“I’m not aware of anything [concerning Meyer’s job performance] that would raise any huge red flags,” Larson told The Citizen. “If he was resourceful enough to generate a few dollars on the side in a consulting business, that’s fine, as long as it didn’t affect his job here.”
Several council members, including Tom Lee and Mayor Mary Capra, say they were aware that Meyer had a consulting business, a fact that Lee says was disclosed at the time of Meyer’s interview in 2004.

You mean to tell me that out of 48 individuals the best candidate for city administrator was the one that was FIRED from his last job?
Holy crap! How do these people keep getting reelected?

This should be a wake up call for everyone in Centerville!!!

By the way... The administrator is up for his annual review under closed session 4/22/2009. Bet he gets another sweet raise while the rest of us struggle to pay our assessments.
Thank You Centerville!

There should be a hiring freeze and a salary freeze in Centerville like there is everywhere else.

And if there is not............... .............
everyone up in City Hall is not doing their job and they DO NOT have the best interest of Centerville and it's citizens in mind. In fact there should actually be some pay cuts or hour cuts to help with our $120,000 shortfall mentiond by Mr. Larson not to long ago.

Extremely interesting information.

Looks like the officials have egg on their face with this documentation considering what was quoted in the paper.

Duh! Mr. "I'm not aware of anything"

Is he still be looking for that huge red flag?

I think you found it for him.

How blind is the City or are they afraid to admit they make mistakes.

The council has decided to move ahead with the hiring process. They will be interviewing applicants for the Finance Director position Saturday May 9th.
Man, I wish they would wait at least until the audit came back.

Why would they wait, they can't wait to complete their "cover-up"!

Why would they wait, God forbid our City Administrator actually earn his keep!! And what about the Mayor who loves to look the "other way"?
