The city administrator cautioned to be careful what is said on this blog about the preliminary 2009 budget.

We choose to say nothing, yet. The preliminary budget speaks for itself. Click image for larger print.

So the city is into suppressing free speech now is it?
Uh oh... I feel a new ordinance coming!

Our city administrator... You mean the one that was fired from his last job? There's some nerve for you!!!
Keep posting the great information.
There is a silent majority that really appreciates it.
Obviously, the current council was not reelected by the majority by any stretch of the imagination. Too bad they fail to realize it.
Bring on 2010! We WILL shake up the status-quo and take our town back!

Oh and another thing...
Too bad they refuse to open their eyes to what is going on in our Country.
They continue to irresponsibly waste our tax dollars in the interest of obtaining "free" money at the suggestion of an engineer that works for a company and not Centerville.
It might just be time for the torches and pitchforks...
I am thoroughly disgusted!

“I don’t think there’s any way we could ever budget enough to not assess people for improvements.” Council Member Jeff Paar. Council Meeting July 10, 2008

But we can blow another $120+K to an engineering firm (Bonestroo, Mark Statz) to prepare for Federal stimulus money we will probably NEVER see!
I am going to shut my mouth before I get arrested!
Good night to all the intelligent, responsible people of Centerville.
God help us!

The freeloaders are lining up. Mary, Jeff, Tom and Linda have their hands out. Salivating over the Federal stimulus package and the possibility saving their reputations at our grandchildren's expense.
Mark (Bonestroo) and Kurt (city attorney) are pondering how to charge the city (in billable hours) and somehow justify the money they receive. Neither live here...
Dallas (city administrator) is just hoping he does not get fired again. He still lives in Cannon Falls... Yes, the town that FIRED him from his last job.
The verdict is out on Ben. He might be our only hope.

It doesn't appear to be much money from the state to jump in the freeloading line for.
The news for government is cut spending and stop whining.
Council should repeal the 120K+ they just approved in additional engineering fees.
