Downtown Lighting/Business Promotion

The ribbon cutting ceremony will be held on December 9, 2008 at 6 p.m. This will be after the additional lighting on the south side of the street has been installed.
Newspaper ads have been placed in several newspapers and invitations are scheduled to go out by Wednesday (tomorrow) of this week.
The City has updated ALL the council meeting minutes (as of 11/24) but the City still continues to refer to Statz as the "City Engineer" and even lists him as a staff member.

Anyone ready with the picket signs? I am! I heard somewhere that the lights cost over $200,000! That money would go a long way toward road repair. Plus they look stupid!
Do they want Centerville to be seen from outer space, or what?
Businesses will not be compelled to relocate here because we have five gazillion lights downtown!
What a joke!

"The City has updated ALL the council meeting minutes"

That's hysterical! Probably the first time in the history of Centerville, too!
They are getting ready for the audit.
Hope they are dotting their I's and crossing their T's
lol

Yippee! Let's all go celebrate the spending spree and even have a formal ribbon cutting ceremony!
This city doesn't seem to know when to stop. Sending out invitations? Seriously...

Just rub it in our faces why don't they? I will not help celebrate the wasteful spending of our tax dollars!
