The Citizens of Centerville Have Spoken!

As of this moment we are awaiting certification from the County Auditor. The required number of signatures have been confirmed. Although the citizens only needed 423 registered voters to move forward with the State audit, there were approximately 650 collected. We apologize to those residents who wanted to sign but didn't get the opportunity to do so due to time constraints. Thank you all for your support!

I for one am very excited about this, once and for all we will have some answers! The People have spoken - they want to know what's been happening in City Hall. I am hopeful that this audit will put everything to rest and that our city will be put back on track - if the audit determines we aren't on track! It will also show the residents of Centerville that this audit does not have to cost the city anything more than what is already spent annually to have the books looked at - audited. Although, City Hall continues to want residents to believe the City will have to pay the additional cost - this is only true if the City chooses to do so!! We are not that stupid Dear Mayor, Council Members, and city administrator - but nice try!

I want to congratulate the people that worked so hard to put this petition together. You have made great inroads toward understanding how the cities expenditures and proposed development plan in a down economy can cost each and every one of us. The people of this town deserves to know how each of these "buckets" of money are pledged to be spent. The incoming city officials should welcome the audit. Find ways to lower taxes not increase them. Knowledge is Power.
