We are an informal group of citizens united in holding City Officials accountable for their actions. All residents of Centerville are welcome to speak out and be heard here. Centerville consistently ranks in the top three highest taxed cities in Minnesota, there is no dedicated road maintenance fund and the assessments keep coming! “I don’t think there’s any way we could ever budget enough to not assess people for improvements.” Council Member Jeff Paar. I hope they post the job requirements on the city website and try to hire someone that lives in Centerville since they insist on moving ahead with this.
"In the meantime, the council approved additional assistance, not to exceed $5,000, to pay for temporary help from the accounting firm of Abdo, Eick & Myers while the finance director position remains vacant. The city will pay on an hourly basis as necessary to get the financial director's work done as quickly as possible, Larson said."
What's wrong with paying a consultant on an hourly basis for this position, permanently?
I'd like to see that job description and exactly what we are getting for our 80K! If Centerville is so "transparent" this information should be posted on the city website.
$80 K - That seems like a very very high salary?
"information should be posted on the city website"
DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH!
do we really need a finance guy for $80,000 for a City of 3800?
Tell you what..........just give me the $$$$$$ and I'll tell you how it is.....................
WE ARE BROKE
